How long do Christmas puddings last?

My puddings have a shelf life of 18 months. In fact, they just get better with age. Many of my customers like to buy their pudding a year in advance and let it continue to mature.

If you love an aged pudding, you might want to consider a pudding from our vintage range. These puddings have been allowed to mature for an additional year.

How should I reheat the pudding?

Your pudding will come in a cryovac bag, which you can place straight into a pot of simmering water for 30 minutes per kilo to reheat. Take it out of the water, snip open the bag, and serve!

You can also do this in the microwave. Remove the pudding from all the packaging (including the cryovac bag), and place on a plate. Cover with a damp piece of paper towel and then wrap it in clingwrap. Heat for 60 seconds for every 500g.

What should I serve my pudding with?

Traditionally, Christmas puddings are served with brandy butter, cream, ice cream and/or custard.

I also love to make an ice cream Christmas pud as the perfect Australian Christmas dessert! See the recipe here.

Do you make the puddings yourself?

Absolutely! I make every single pudding myself by hand. It’s a many-months-long process!

I source the eggs from Farmer Browns Pastured Eggs in Dubbo, the fruit from The Natural Grocer, Murray River Organics and Honest to Goodness, and my spices are from Herbie’s.

WHAT are the special ingredients?

Love, Pudding puds use only the best quality ingredients. All ingredients are preservative free. Ingredients: Australian/New Zealand butter, brown sugar, pasture laid eggs, flour, spices, bicarbonate soda, salt, sultanas, raisins, currants, figs, apricots, dates and craisins, alcohol and love.

Are the puddings gluten free?

After a year of recipe development, I am a thrilled to finally offer, what I believe, to be the best gluten-free pudding! My gluten-free puddings come in two sizes, ‘small’ (900g) and ‘mini’(180g).

What about other dietary requirements?

Love, Pudding products are free of nuts, preservatives, peels and glacé cherries. They are also vegetarian.

Are the puddings safe for children?

While I use three different types of liqueur, the alcohol is cooked out of the puddings and is safe for children. My own children can’t get enough!

How should I store my pudding?

I store my puddings in a cool, dark pantry for up to 18 months. You could also store yours in the back of your fridge.

Where can I buy your pudding?

You’ve come to the right place! You can order directly from this website here, or from any of our stockists, which can also be found here. Around Christmas, we can also be found at many of the markets in Sydney. Keep an eye on social media for our up-to-date whereabouts!
